Tricia has some twenty years of experience in local government community development and public sector regional management roles. Tricia’s role is increasingly as a strategy development specialist, with a growing number of major projects under her belt. She is also a trained workplace assessor.
Tricia has an MA (1st, University of Auckland) in Sociology, specialising in community studies, and completed a Masters in Public Management (merit, University of Victoria) in 2002 with a thesis on changes to contracting in the public sector.
After eight years as Northland Regional Manager with the Tertiary Education Commission (ex-Skill New Zealand and the Education and Training Support Agency), she set up Venture Group Ltd in June 2003.
Tricia has worked for the Rotorua District, Manukau, Papakura and Wellington City Councils, and has undertaken contract work for many organisations, including government agencies, tertiary education organisations, not-for-profit groups and private companies.
Born and bred in Whangarei where her father’s family has been for many generations, Tricia returned to Whangarei to live in 1995. She spends as much time as possible working at her beach house at Koutu, near Opononi in the South Hokianga, with Sam, Siouxie and Bruno, her Burmese cats.
